9 Month Well Baby Visit

I'm a little behind on posting Brady's progress from his 9 month well baby visit since he's almost 10 months. Our little guy is doing very well, he's starting to pull up and attempting to crawl, he's also started saying Ma ma and Da da daily. Right now he's best at scooting and has become very clingy. The doctor said his growth is slowing down a little, this is fine by me for now since he's a lot to handle. He currently fits in 12-18 month sizes the best and has gone through 2 shoe sizes since Easter- he wears a size 5 now. We have had tons of great, cute clothes only get worn once, if you need some hand me downs then I've got you covered! Below are his latest stats:
Height- 29in 77 percentile
Weight- 22lb 13oz 84 percentile

A Memorial Memphis Weekend

This past Memorial weekend was spent with my parents in Memphis, you'll notice Bryan is missing from the photos. He stayed in Knoxville and worked on completing an additional room we have added to the house (it's actually a former storage closet). His hard work hasn't gone unnoticed, Brady and I think it looks great- thank you but we did miss you!

While we were there we visited the Peabody and Beale Street with my parents, my brother and his girlfriend Angie. Brady really seemed to enjoy the downtown atmosphere, especially Beale Street- he is so my child! Is it wrong for a pregnant lady to stroll her 9 month old baby down a dirty ole street covered in beer and urine? Honestly, would you expect any different from me? Unfortunately Brady was slightly under the weather during our visit so we laid low as he had a slight cough, runny nose and ear infection. He is now taking his medication and getting lots of rest so he will get back to his happy, healthy little self.

As for a pregnancy update... I'm 32 weeks and feeling every bit of it, I finally stopped traveling last week also. My feet and ankles have started to swell, heartburn has kicked into high gear and I tire easily, you know, the fun stuff. The doc says everything is looking good and her kidney is stable so that's good news. I've gained 19 pounds and still have 2 months to go so I suspect I'll hit 25 which is considered ideal. This pregnancy has flown by so quickly, it's hard to believe that in 8 short weeks I will be the mother of 2 babies! I'm a very lucky girl.

April Picture Update

A few pics from the past month...

This one cracks me up. He's looking at that monkey like he knows it's more than just a cute stuffed animal, it's actually his harness. Yep, my child is going to be on a leash!

Brady loves the water. We are hoping to start swim classes next month.

Wild times in the bouncer. This is, by far, a true representation of Brady. He loves his bouncer (which he is way to big for) and the blue shoe was a gift from my parents friends who are from Brazil. The shoe is his favorite chew toy.

Guess he wore himself out in the bouncer because by the time he made it to the jumperoo he was pooped! Little guy fell right asleep while jumping.

The look of a mischievous little boy!
Lazy afternoon in the park...

This is little Miss Audrey, she is the daughter of two friends. While we were at the park she decided to taste a little dirt and straw, check it out on her face.

Grant and Brady at the zoo- they were so thrilled to be there....ummm, not at all.

It's a Memphis Easter

Just posting a couple of pictures from our Easter vacation in Memphis. I have a ton of pics and will post some more soon. We wish everyone a Happy and safe Easter!

Happy Easter!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's been a while since I've posted anything. I've been a road warrior for the past few weeks and I've just now gotten caught up with everything, sorry for the delay.

I had a doctor's visit earlier this week and so far our baby girl is doing well. Her left kidney is still looking great and the right on is still quite large. Doc seems to think there is a membrane in her bladder that's blocking the flow of urine and this membrane may break and allow the urine to release however, this does not mean that the kidney will regain all of its function. So still we wait until the next visit which is in another 4 weeks. At the time of the ultrasound the nurse said the baby was 1lb 9oz at 23 weeks, that 94th percentile...she's gonna be a big one folks!
Brady has been doing great the past few weeks, his 2 bottom teeth finally cut threw his gums. He's also been traveling. He's visited Memphis to see his grandparents for a week and he also went to Atlanta with me last week. He finally got to meet my friend Gwen and a few people from work- I think he liked everyone and vice versa.
We visited the Easter Bunny this afternoon and just as I expected Brady took right to him. That kid has never met a stranger. I hope he grows out of that just a little (and his extreme desire to be naked all the time). Below are a few pics from the past few weeks.

It's a...

Girl! We are going to have a little girl and couldn't be more excited. The ultrasound was very clear so we are positive that this won't change. During the ultrasound they also found some not so good news, it appears that our little girl has an abnormally functioning kidney. This kidney is not releasing the urine so it has caused it to back-up and enlarge. The outlook for this kidney isn't positive, most likely it will stop functioning altogether and need to be removed. Good news is the left kidney is an ace and as long as it functions properly then she will be perfectly fine. Thank goodness we have 2 kidneys and only need one! Of course we are nervous and worried but all we can do is monitor the condition and wait...I will be visiting the specialist every month for an update.
Brady is teething and it's really interfering with my nighttime schedule. Oh well, my baby's got to have teeth! He's doing a great job eating solids, he pretty much like everything and does not have any allergies so far-woohoo!
It's amazing how quickly he went from content laying around in his bouncer to wanting to play all day, he gets bored easily but seems happy when playing with his toys and watching sportscenter for now. A baby sister is going to be the perfect play thing for him! Haha!
Below are Brady's latest stats from his Well Baby visit today:
Height 28.25 in. 94%
Weight 19.3 78%

Baby 2 Update

So I'm 17 weeks now, man it's flying by this time! I go to the doctor next Friday to find out the sex of the baby, I'll take another boy or a fiery little girl (payback is coming sometime). So far this has been an easy pregnancy, I really enjoy being pregnant but I don't like that I can't sleep on my back. Lately I've been eating to much chocolate cake but it's so good. According to the doctor my weight gain has been exactly the same so far as it was with Brady, hopefully it stays that way! I only gained 20 pounds with him and he was 9 pounds but I have a feeling I will gain more and have a bigger baby this time around.
As for Brady, he is growing like a weed, smiling, laughing and trying to stand up. He's my joy. I'll post some pics and videos soon.
