The smash cake.

Well, my baby boy is officially one year old! Wow, time has flown by so quickly. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. He had a great birthday party, enjoyed some very sugary cake and got a TON of gifts. Thank you to all the friends and family that came out to celebrate and brave the steamy August weather. If any of you out there have pictures of the birthday party please send them my way, I would love to have copies (Billy, I'm talkin to you!)

Thanks everyone and we'll do this again next July for Avery!

August Photos

Brady and his new friend Bella. This made me uneasy because Brady kept pulling out her hair and sticking it in his mouth...gross...
Princess of Pinkness.
Avery taking a snooze in a very comfortable place.
Brady fell asleep eating his lunch.
Hanging with Daddy after playing in the water.
Just a swangin'...
Whaaaatamess! He went straight to the bathtub-kinda resembles an oompa loompa, don't ya think?

Dancing Brady

Brady has become a dancing machine, it's something he's been doing for a while now. His favorite song is the ice cream and cake song from the Baskin Robbins commercial. He likes to show off for Avery, you can hear her with the hiccups in the background. Enjoy!

Avery's First Well Baby Visit

Avery is now 5 weeks old and she recently had her first well baby visit. The doctor said she looks great and we can expect her to be between 5'11 and 6 feet tall! She also had a visit with the Urologist recently and her right kidney will need some testing to determine its functionality. We will be having the tests done the first week of September to find out what type of surgical procedures will be done to solve the problems. Below are Avery's one month stats:
Weight 9lb 10oz- 58 percentile
Height 21 1/2in- 58 percentile

Brady is approaching his first birthday, he will turn one in two weeks (Aug.29)! I can't believe my little man is already 1 year old. He's doing great, he's crawling everywhere and is attempting to put words together. He also seems to like his little sister more and more each day. We are currently switching over from the bottle and formula to milk and a sippy cup, he's transitioning well but he still prefers the bottle and seeing Avery's bottle causes him a little confusion and sometimes leads to a temper tantrum. He has learned to clap and wave so everywhere we go he shows off his new skills, it's so freaking cute! Below are a few of the pictures we had taken of the babies...

Bruises, bumps and babies

Brady has really started crawling and standing lately so with that comes falls. As you can see in the picture, he has a nice big shiner above his left eye. He's such a tough little guy as that big bump doesn't seem to bother him.
He is a ball of energy, this child hits the ground running from the moment he wakes up! I've got my work cut out for me when it comes to chasing him around and keeping him entertained. I will say that Brady has the best demeanor ever- he is always in a good mood and is laughing, dancing and chattering nonstop. This pic is worth a thousand words!
Do we have a future golfer on our hands?
The brother and sister pair. Brady would "pet" Avery while I was taking their picture but as soon as I would look away the gentle touch would suddenly turn into a smack...sneaky little boy.
My future high tech junkies.
My beautiful babies. I'm a very lucky girl to have Brady, Avery and Bryan in my life...I love the three of you more than you will ever know.

The New Addition

Avery with her Great Grandpa Quinn.
Avery Quinn Mink- 8lbs 4oz and 20in long. Born 7/11/09 at 7:57pm. Miss Avery came 15 days early (thankfully!) to us on Saturday. I labored most of the day at home and decided around 4pm that I should head to the hospital, much to our surprise I was 6cm dilated so the labor moved extremely fast. My parents were on their way in the car so I called in Stacie as my backup. Thank you Stacie for helping us bring Avery into this world. It was such a great experience for Bryan and I and I was happy to share it with my wonderful friend.

Our arrival home from the hospital. Brady stole the socks right off of her feet and started chewing on them. So far he has shown very little interest in her.

4th of July and a little break dancing

Trying to get a picture of the boys together was difficult- this is the best I could do. Below are a few pics of Grant showing off his best break dancing moves, so cute!
